Book Review: How Good is Good Enough? by Andy Stanley

How Good is Good Enough? by Andy Stanley

I found the title of Andy Stanley's book "How Good is Good Enough?" very intriguing. I was drawn in because it has been a common question that I have asked and heard posed many times. Andy Stanley writes this book with a conversational style which makes the reader feel right at home as they read. Despite the simple language that is used the logical progression has a depth which will be challenging to readers at all intellectual levels. I found myself making a mental list of people that I would like to share this book with.

Stanley carefully walks us through the "Good people go to heaven" belief that is very common in many cultures today. This belief is logically examined and it's flaws are gently exposed. I would not feel uncomfortable giving this book to anyone on the spiritual interest spectrum. In the first chapter Andy Stanley makes the claim that investing a couple of hours to consider where you will spend your eternity is a great use of your time. I heartly agree with Stanley on this point and hope you get a chance to work through the question posed by this book.

I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review
